Okinawa Plays Jazz for Taipei Earthquake Victims

On the evening of Friday, 22 October, the Okinawa Rock Association and the Okinawa Jazz Association will join instruments in a live jazz concert on Avenue Street in Koza. Proceeds from the concert, which will take place from 18:30 to 21:00 on the 3rd floor of the Ashibina Building, will be sent to Taiwan to help in relief efforts for victims of the recent earthquake on that island.

The jazz concert will feature the Koza Dixielanders, with famous bandleader Shosei Yamazato, and the Okinawa Association Jazz Orchestra big band. On the event menu: 18 pieces, 2 big guests and the female vocalist Keiko Arasaki.
