K-Ci & JoJo to spark Kinser SummerfestDate Posted: 1999-07-30 Their most recent album titled "It's Real” presents a new approach that is much more subtle, and in addition, more romantic as did the Album “Love Always.” In sharp contrast to their hardcore days of freaking ladies type lyrics, the last few albums have really shown us how much the Hailey brothers have matured in their music. There's an almost spiritual quality that presents itself here, and the music is laid-back. But without a doubt, the Hailey Brothers can still maintain the interchanging rugged/gospel vocal style that made them an R&B sensation in the beginning. This musical pair gained their musical background in their youth singing gospel music in North Carolina. Gedric Hailey (K-Ci) and Joel Hailey (Jo-Jo) has thus far continued inspire audiences with their unique soultry and renditions. Most songs are for couples and those looking to begin a relationship, and yes indeed you could listen to them around your mother. K-Ci & JoJo will be performing at Camp Kinser's Summerfest on Sunday, Sep. 5. That's right ladies, so dress to impress. The tickets are $20 and the performance will start at 5:00 p.m. |
