Free Okinawan Weapons Demonstration

If you enjoyed Darth Mall’s Staff technique on Star Wars, then you definitely will enjoy this … The Matayoshi style of Kobudo is perhaps the most popular style of Okinawan Ancient Weaponry practiced throughout the world. Senior members of the Kokokan work hard to ensure the style’s traditions remain authentic and intact. Now you can enjoy a very rare FREE demonstration of Okinawa Weapons on Sunday, August 8, 2 – 4:30 p.m. at the Okinawa Convention Center in Ginowan.

Spectators will be treated to demonstrations of the use of Nunchucks (Nunchaku), Staff (Bo), Sickle (Kama) and more. There will be over 100 participants, along with practitioners of Matayoshi Kobudo from Europe, USA, Canada and local bases.

Kadena ITT is offering free tickets to this event. In addition, Kadena ITT will provide bus transportation to the Convention Center for $5 per person. Call 634-4322 for more information.
