PanaceaBy: Kotoko Chinen Date Posted: 1999-07-30 "Panacea" which is run by Domo Corp. is a membership fitness facility featuring exercise equipment, a restaurant, and sleeping accommodations for users to re-gain and enrich health. Following the belief that the true wellness will be achieved when individual’s physical and mental condition are in good balance, the "Panacea" health club consists of the Aquacise Zone, the Relaxation Zone, and the Diet Zone to offer the comprehensive health services. At the Aquacise Zone, exercises utilizing buoyancy, resistance, and water currents can be practiced in cool and warm pools. The massage pool, sauna, and foot bath are regularly open to both members and general public. Relaxation Program consists of a variety of beauty treatments, such as the body, facial, and foot massages. The facility also offers accommodations for longer stays. It has six trailer houses for four people each, and eight twin rooms. During the stay smoking, drinking, and food take-ins from outside are not allowed in order to keep the good balance of health. The accommodation charges will vary depending on the season. The annual membership fee is ¥10,000. However, the fee will be exempted for valid military I.D. cardholders. (The admission fee will be charged for each visit.) In order to better service their foreign customers, Panacea is looking for bi-lingual staff. For booking, call 967-7790 or fax at 967-7791. Directions: The "Panacea" is located next to Manza Beach Resort. From Kadena, take Route 58 and head north. Passing the Onna Village Fire station and the entrance of Manza Beach Resort on left you come to a small bridge (Afuso Bridge). Slow down and look for buildings with green roof on your left. |
