Need to buy a gift or souvenir? Okinawa-ya Dreamland store, located inside Mihama's Dragon Palace, is full of all sorts of goodies. They have a large selection of cookies, cakes, candies, jams, chocolates, chips, teas, sauces and cough drops in assorted Okinawan flavors such as sugarcane, pineapple, purple sweet potato, jasmine, turmeric, goya and more. You can find any kind of shisa you want here: They have all shapes and sizes. If you want to buy a traditional Okinawan souvenir, you'll see wallets, bags, personal-size tissue cases, coasters and handkerchiefs in original Okinawan designs. They also have a great selection of Okinawan sake -- even the kind with a real habu in the bottle. There's a good selection of original Okinawan T-shirts. If you want to take home a T-shirts with cool Japanese writing on them, they even have them printed with pictures of awamori labels -- good conversation pieces back home.

For all you Sanrio lovers, they have "tanned" stuffed Okinawan Hello Kitty dolls, complete with sunglasses and Hawaiian shirts and muumuus. They also sell them wearing traditional Okinawan dance attire and in goya and shisa outfits. You can't find these original Okinawan Hello Kitty goods anywhere else in Japan! They even have Rika-chan dolls (a kind of Japanese Barbie doll in traditional Okinawan costume.

If you are looking for the perfect poster to put in your room, you have come to the right place - the selection is endless. An entire section of the store is set aside for old-fashioned Japanese candy and snacks. They even have stuff I ate as a child over 20 yrs ago that they don't sell in normal stores anymore.

An Okinawa-ya Dreamland is located on the first floor of the building to the left of Dragon Palace as well, next to the sushi restaurant. Another is located across the street from Dragon Palace.
