Diamantes member releases second solo album

Alberto Shiroma, the leader of the acclaimed Okinawan band Diamantes, is releasing a solo album entitled “Habanera” on Jan. 17. This album is the second solo project for Alberto. His first album, “Light My Heart,” released in 2000, developed a good reputation both in Japan and abroad. The album was arranged by Angel Fernandez, musical director for well-known musician Mark Anthony, and was recorded in New York. Though based on Latin music, other styles are present, and pieces by classical composers Schumann, Bizet and Chopin as well as a love ballad by Stevie Wonder are on the album.

The mood of “Habanera” is smooth and mellow -- easy listening at its best. The album includes 14 tracks, all sung in Spanish, and will be sold for ¥3,000 at major music shops on Okinawa. This album would certainly make a great present for your loved one on Valentine’s Day! “Habanera” is a romantic Latin album dedicated to all lovers during the cold months of the winter. This album will surely warm the hearts of all lovers who listen to it while sharing a romantic dinner or intimate evening together.
