Boy, 3, in ICU after near-drowning at hotel poolDate Posted: 1999-09-25 At about 11:10 a.m., the boy, Eiki Raitoku, from Saitama Prefecture, and other members of his family were swimming in the outdoor pool in the hotel, when they decided to take a rest poolside. Shortly after, the toddler’s father noticed his son was missing and after looking in the pool found him at the bottom of the pool. Unconsciousness, Eiki was rushed to hospital and placed in intensive care. According to police, the parents were negligent, and failed to properly supervise the child. |
