Free medical care available for tots up to three

Children up to the age of 3 will receive free medical care from October under a new accord reached between the local government and the Okinawa Prefectural Government. Previously, only infants received free medical attention. Initially, the plan was to come into force in April but local governments throughout the island had difficulty raising the necessary funds.
