Air Force Club Membership Scholarship ProgramDate Posted: 1999-07-03 Three scholarships will be awarded. First prize is $5,000, second prize is $3,000 and third prize is $2,000. These prizes are made possible through commercial sponsorship provided by First USA Bank, Wilmington DE (No Federal Endorsement of Sponsor Intended). Services will award scholarship prizes by October 1, 1999. Nominations must include the sponsor’s name, last nine digits of their club membership card number, base, club name, and the nominee’s full name with mailing address and phone number. If the nominee is someone other than the club member, state his or her relationship to the member. Nominees must also provide an essay of 500 words or less, choosing one of the following two topics: Membership, Participation Makes a Difference Air Force Club Membership; What it’s Really Worth A single page summary of the nominee’s long term career/life goals and previous accomplishments must also be included. The summary may include civic, athletic and academic awards and accomplishments. Nominations must be submitted to Services Commander’s Office, Bldg. 220, by July 15, 1999. All nominations should be submitted on standard white bond paper, with one-inch margins, and typed in 12-point Arial, Times New Roman or similar font. |
