Delphi does it for I doers

June is a special month for couples soon to share the same last name. With the sweet sound of “wedding,” many headaches, such as selecting a wedding dress, music, and the food for the life-time big event, also come along. Yet, among these pre-nuptial concerns, flower arrangements for the ceremony can be one of the major headaches, especially for the bride to be.

For those couples who plan to share the same last name, there's one place you can run to for your flower arrangements on that oh so special day, and that is “Delphi.”

Delphi has been adding beautiful colors to a number of wedding ceremonies since its opening last September. Delphi, whose floral code is “the tears of dolphin,” applies European style flower arrangements which make good use of the space and colors of the flowers. Yet, if your needs differ from those suggestions, then Delphi is happy to oblige and make the necessary arrangements customized with your preferences and budget in mind.

Wedding bouquets range from $100 and a delivery service is available to on- and off-base reception halls. Flower arrangements for private parties and ceremonies are also possible. For reservations, call 926-0868. (Delphi’s has an English-speaking staff.)

Bookings should be made at least three days in advance; earlier is better if you have a specific request on the arrangements. That way, says owner Ai Shimamoto: “We'll have enough time to discuss how to arrange the flowers for your wedding."

If things don't go as planned, and there are a few hiccups, then you’ll need at least three days before the greatest moment of your life to cancel your arrangement.
