Fireworks and fun highlight AmericafestDate Posted: 1999-06-26 An appearance by rock group The Murasaki Band and Cry Wolf on Friday followed by concert by Holly Dunn and Pacific Air Force Band and others on Saturday and Sunday ensure that the base rocks and rolls. Fireworks display is scheduled at 9 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Military aircraft are on display throughout the event, and plenty of food and game booths provide additional entertainment. For the festival, gates 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be open. Free shuttle buses from gates 1, 4 and from the USO at gate 2 are scheduled to run to the festival grounds. Organizers encourage the public to use the buses instead of their own cars as the traffic is expected to be heavy. |
