Kenny from Camp Lester asks: I have two young kids (9 & 11), one wants to start running road racing and the other wants to start playing volleyball. Is this too young to start getting seriously into sports?

No it isn't, but there are things to consider. Since kids are still developing physically at those ages, posture and joint stress are usually overlooked. Usually this neglect can cause injuries. Don't try to train your two children like an adult, it can also bring on injuries. If your kids really want to make sport more than a hobby, consider a sports specialist. He or she will be able to give you a lot of very good advice.
