Happy99 Virus Spreads in Okinawa

If you receive an email with a happy99.exe DON'T OPEN IT! It contains a worm virus that doesn't do any real harm except that it slows down the email process. We inadvertently received it from a friend just before sending the Cowboy Bulletin. It supposedly moniters who you send email to and follows up

on its own. If you open it it can be removed easily. Check these out.

The first one gives you the cold hard facts, the second one offers you the simplest way to remove the happy99.exe virus. The Happy99 virus is not really a virus, it's simply a worm; and it causes no malicious effects to any of your data; however, it functions by attaching itself to all outgoing email from Eudora/Netscape/Outlook and thus it does cost you time in sending mail.
