Okinawan named 'Living National Treasure'

An Okinawan woman is one of 11 Japanese named a National Living Treasure, in the latest release by the Education Ministry of the country's highest distinction for its citizens.

Sada Yonamine, who at 90 was the oldest recipient of the designation, practices yundaza hanaui, a unique dying and weaving technique found only on Okinawa.
