Getting a bird's eye view of OkinawaBy: Marie W. Conway Date Posted: 1999-05-29 ![]() For those daredevils out there who want to try something challenging and exciting, ground school is held each quarter and lasts eight weeks. Classes are held each Tuesday and Thursday from 6 p.m. -9 p.m. Also, for those who are already pilots, you may want to find out how you can take a friend or relative on a joy ride and catch a glimpse of Okinawa from a Cessna. Aero Club Membership is open to all U.S. forces personnel, civilian employees, and government contractors with SOFA status, their dependants who are at least 16 years old, and retirees. On May 29 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., the Kadena Aero Club will man a booth set up in front of Kadena BX to answer any questions you may have about their organization. If you can't make it to the booth, contact Bobbie Suell at the Kadena Flight Training Center at 634-5758 for further information. |
