Military personnel and their families are invited to attend the USO Memorial Day Beach Bash on May 31 at Camp Schwab Oura Wan Beach from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sponsored by Asia Marketing Group, PRIMUS and Bodyworxs, this event will feature free food, on a first-come, first-served basis, DJ music, games, prize giveaways and more. Enter the chance to win great prizes in events such as six-person "Volleyball Challenge," "Unit Tug-a-War", "USO Arm-Wrestling Challenge," "The Limbo," and much more. All ages will enjoy the "Hula Hoop" Contest, the "Watermelon-Eating" Contest, and imaginations can run wild in the "Sand-Sculpting" Contest. Plus, enter the chance to win the grand prize, a one-night stay for two at Ie Resort. Other prizes include a personal CD player, backpacks, T-shirts, pre-paid phone cards and much more.
Two buses will be available to shuttle patrons to Camp Schwab Oura Wan Beach beginning at 9 a.m. The free shuttle service will run continuously throughout the day, running approximately every one and one half to two hours. The shuttle bus service is as follows: Bus #1 to start at Camp Kinser Surfside Club to Lester Hospital, Lester Hospital to Kadena USO, Kadena USO to Camp Courtney Bowling Center, Camp Courtney Bowling Center to Oura Wan Beach.
