Ask Sh'NaynayDate Posted: 1999-05-14 Girl, I am so mad. My husband forgot Mother's Day. I mean it's only once and year and it's not like it was my birthday. I have had 5 children from this man and should atleast remember that day. He can forget my birthday, our anniversary, even his mother's birthday but not the day that is dedicated to me. I put him on the couch that night and took myself out to dinner. I am so hurt. I saw all the other couples with roses and they were appreciating their wives even if for only one day a year. Should I get over my anger and how can I prevent this from happening again? No Roses for Me Sh'naynay: Yeah, that's kind of on the dog house level. Well, it's over and it's one day a year as far as the holiday goes. We all know that Mother's Day is everyday. I'm glad you had the guts to celebrate it, even by yourself. We don't need men for everything. You should have taken the kids with you out to dinner. Anger, well we can't help that one. Next time remind him for the month of April and the day before. Give him hints about what you would like for a gift. If he forgets it then, him in the kennel. Good Luck next year. I wouldn't let him off the hook on the anniversary though! |
