Question 1: “Do you like rock ‘n’ roll?” If your answer is ‘Yes,’ keep reading. Question 2: “Do you like to have massive amounts of fun during your weekend?” If your answer is ‘Yes’ to both, then have we got a treat for you!. (By the way, if you happened to answer ‘no’ to either question, you should still read on! Trust me on this one.) The Hide Away rock bar is gearing up for its ‘Monsters of The Rock Part 2’ for those who just can't wait two more months for the Peaceful Love Rock Festival in July. The show will be performed on July 14 (Friday) and the 15th (Saturday) from 7 p.m. to midnight. And be prepared for some powerhouse rock on both evenings, as five American and Japanese bands are scheduled to be performed. On the 14th, Zero Faith, Noiz As Hell, 8-Ball, J's Band, and Chuck Wow will appear on stage; on the 15th, Cry Wolf, Ziong, formerly known as Alex, and for the second night in a row Noiz As Hell and Zero Faith will again perform. ‘Monsters of The Rock Part 2’ is basically a continuation of the fabulously successful and original ‘Monsters of The Rock’ show held every October to celebrate Halloween at The Hide Away. And who could ever forget ‘Part 1,’ where almost 300 music lovers jammed the bar, and provided enough spark and energy for the bands to see them perform at their peak. As its title indicates, the show is, for the most part, nothing but hard rocking, pure adrenaline rock ‘n’ roll. Still, to please those who might have answered ‘no’ to the either of the two questions we posed, there really are many types of ‘rock’ - from Classic rock to Heavy Metal, from Blues rock to Punk rock. Needless to say, there’s a little somethin’ for everyone at the ‘Monsters’ show. Tickets cost $5 or ¥800 and are available at The Hide Away. For more info, call 930-1592. Directions: From KAB Gate 2 St, go straight along BC Street. Right before you hit the second traffic light, slow down and look for ‘The Hide Away’ sign. It is located on the right-hand side.
