DODDS-Okinawa School Spring Registration

The DoDDs-Okinawa District announces the concerted effor5t between all local schools, the school but registration office and the 18th Support Group's bus monitor program on the pre-registration drive for next school year 1999-2000. Representatives will be present at the schools from the above respective offices. The requirements and dates for all pre-registration activities will be published in the local school parent newsletters. Confirmation of dates, times and needed documents can be confirmed by calling your local school main office. All students must pre-register for next school year 1999 - 2000 at their present school location, even though they may be attending another school. Pre-registration for school attendance requires: 1) copy of current orders, certificate of employment or RAT orders for DoD civilians, 2) student immunization card, 3) if transferring to another school on Okinawa, completion of an on-island transfer form. If you are permanently changing you duty station (PCS) during the summer, you will need to complete a PCS form and provide PCS orders when you pick up student records. All students that use bus transportation can sign up with the following documentation: 1) copy of SD 600- DoDDS Student Registration Form or computer printout, 2) address verification- off base requires copy of the lease and map to residence and on base residentss need assignment letter for base quarters. Students must be present to be photographed for the bus pass. Requirements for the 18th Support Group Bus Monitor duty and Free & Reduced Lunch programs are: Sponsor must be present or spouse must have an appropriate Power of Attorney, Free & Reduced Lunch requires the latest Leave and Earning Statement for sponsor and spouse, if applicable. All schools will pre-register students for classes the week of 12 April 1999 during regular or posted office hours. Exceptions are: Lester Middle School will register non-bus riders on 13 April and all others during 14-16 April 99, and Bechtel Elementary School will register 3-7 May 99. The following is a list of school locations, dates and times for the bus transportation, bus monitor duty, and free & reduced lunch program pre-registrations:

(Note: Stearley Heights Elementary School does not have bus riders at this time. Contact main office for more information on other programs.)

(Note: During the week of 12 - 16 April 99, the Bus Barn on Camp Lester will not be open due to personnel at school sites.)
