Tops in Blue

The US. Air Force TOPS IN BLUE is offering a free night of family entertainment at Kadena Air Base Keystone Theater starting at 7 p.m. on Jan. 3 and 4. This year's edition of TOPS IN BLUE is titled, "Red, White, and Rhythm & Blue," which highlights American songs and music from the early '20s to today. The "Red, White, Rhythm & Blue" show is designed to bring back memories for all ages. Entertainers will perform music from ragtime to today's country and a special Motown 40th anniversary tribute. The 45th anniversary tour is taking the TOPS IN BLUE '98 team to more than 100 locations and 120 shows in the United States and to more than 20 countries.

Each year, thousands compete in base talent contest and the most talented move on to higher levels of competition. The results is TOPS IN BLUE, an all active duty US Air Force special unit made up of talented amateur performers selected for their entertainment abilities. TOPS IN BLUE is one of the oldest and most widely traveled entertainment groups of it's kind, composed of 35 of the most talented vocalist, musicians, and dancers anywhere. Their main purpose is to perform for military personnel and their families throughout the world. However, the enormous popularity of the group has also made them America's goodwill ambassadors around the globe.
