Woman arrested on suspicion of swindle

Tomishiro Police arrested Fumie Akamine on the suspicion of swindling money from several people by convincing them that they had to pay commissions for her in order to sell a popular product.

According to Tomishiro Police, she told the people that by selling the Japanese Taishou Koto to others they would be able to make a lot of money even if they had to pay her a commission of about 5,000 per customer. She sold the Japanese Taishou Koto to the people she met mostly at bars and parking lots in Tomishiro Village area. The police say that the total amount she got by the swindle is 1,680,000.
