Racing on Golden Week with dragons

Golden Week, the annual string of Japanese holidays will start Tuesday with Greenery Day, formerly celebrated as the birthday of the late Emperor Hirohito. It is followed by three holidays from May 3 through 4 that unlucky to most workers this year falls on the weekend. The highlight of the weekend is Naha Haari or Dragon Boat Races, a tradition dating back hundreds of years. The races and accompanying festival is held at Aja Port in Naha City.
