Are you ready to fly to Rome for a night? Impossible? Actually, Pacific Hotel Okinawa welcomes you and your family to join the Autumn Festival in their European Garden. Roman statues are strategically placed to give you the impression you're being whisked away to Europe. Over the past 20 years , Pacific Hotel has had this celebration, but every year they spice it up to keep it alluring. This Saturday, the 26th , from 5-9:30 P.M., they will captivate you with live music, a raffle, karaoke contest, games, 'charity bazaar', and an abundance of food and drink.

Live and in person...the famous singer Hidekatsu, known for the Okinawan song "Miruku munari," and Rekios, a 15 member group consisting of taiko drummers, sanshin players and singers, will entertain you with their Okinawan style of music. Dan and Ikari, an acoustic guitar duet, will also harmonize their voices to bring you the songs of the Beatles, Eagles, Eric Clapton, etc.

Also, raffles are always exciting. Will it be YOUR lucky day? You do not want to miss the raffle for a free roundtrip airline ticket to Kochi, Shikoku or 50% off a ticket to Tokyo or Kagoshima!

It wouldn't be a true Japanese party without karaoke. So, get ready to step out of your shower and test your talent on stage. Even if you don't win they will give you a small present to congratulate you on your bravery. For the winners, you may receive an original cake made by their hotel, dinner for two, or free stay in their comfortable rooms.

For the young and young at heart, join the assorted games full of gaiety! One of the games tests your patience and takes a steady hand to catch goldfish, which you can take home as pets. Also, for the nifty shopper, a 'charity bazaar' will consist of goods ranging from clothes to china.

What festival would be complete without mouthwatering foods? Pacific Hotel imported directly Hokkaido's famous crab, salmon, scallops, corn, potatoes and onions for this Autumn Festival. What a treat! A snack bar will also offer the usual festival food--yakitori, spare ribs, okonomiyaki (Chinese pancakes that aren't sweet) just to name a few. Non-alcoholic beverages as well as Orion beer will be available and the Orion Campaign girls will be there too.

Don't miss this European getaway! There's no entrance fee, but ¥1,000 tickets (with 10 stubs) will be on sale to use as 'cash' for food, drinks and games. Directions: Head south towards Naha on Hwy. 58. After passing the second gate of Kinser, you must drive to the left of the ramp but be in the right most lower lane so you can make a right at Aja intersection. Go over the bridge you'll see Tomarin on your left, and you'll eventually see Pacific Hotel's coral pink building on the right. There's plenty of parking available. For further questions, you may call tel.#098-868-5162.
