Hispanic Heritage MonthBy: Jose A. Perez, Hispanic American Association, Okinawa, Japan Date Posted: 1998-09-18 I am very proud to be Hispanic. Many strides have been made by us, but there is much left undone! Everyday I see signs of both discrimination and advances. But probably, the one which hurts more is where Hisapnics have such a hard time working together. If I could wish for one thing it would be for all Hispanics to unite regardless of whether you are of Mexican, Cuban, Puerto Rican, Colombian, etc. ancestry. What Hispanic Heritage means to me is "Let's respect all Hispanics and their contributions." |
