Year end is the time of the year when most people engage in over eating. Sushi is an excellent choice for a meal to lessen the number of calories between more traditional festive meals. The Karin Group has several restaurants in Carnival Park Building in Mihama that are well known for serving delicious pasta and rice bowl dishes for only 500 per serving.

The newest restaurant of the group is called Kanipa Sushi on the second floor of the same building. Kanipa Sushi serves assorted sushi platters from 500 including ebi (cooked prawn), maguro (tuna), sake (salmon) and more. The most popular assorted sushi plate is priced at 980 and includes uni (sea urchin) and ikura (salmon roe). Kanipa Sushi also serves several unique sushi rolls that its chefs created with Mihama American Village in mind. They named their creations after three American cities, and thus California Avocado Roll, New York Salmon Roll and Los Angeles Sea Urchin Roll were born. Eight pieces of these unique sushi rolls cost only 480. This restaurant is very popular among foreigners, has an atmosphere of a sushi bar in America. Kanipa Sushi is open daily from noon to 11 p.m. (6 - 11 p.m. on Tuesdays. and Wednesdays). An English menu is available. For more information, call Kanipa Sushi at 098-926-4058.
