15-year-old arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

A 15-year-old boy was arrested Saturday on suspicion of attempted murder in Tomishiro City, after he strangled his 16-year-old girlfriend until she became unconscious. According to Tomishiro Police, the girl wanted to end the relationship, and the couple had had several arguments. After another such argument, the boy grabbed the girl by her neck and strangled her until she became unconscious. The boy told investigators that he did not expect that to happen and that he did not intend to kill her. The boy then waited by the girl’s side until she regained consciousness. After the incident the girl went to the police with her mother to file a complaint, and the police arrested the boy.
