You know my mother is really upset with me for falling in love with a Marine. This is his first tour and he's about 18 years old and I'm seventeen. I graduate this year and she thinks I want to get married. I'm not stupid I know this is his 1st tour and he's probably going to want to do things and stuff. I like him for him, it's nothing serious. What do I do? 20 Questions

Sh'naynay

More like 50 questions. Question: if you are falling in love how is it not serious. Question: what do you mean he's going to want to do things and stuff? Solution: be his friend, if this is his first tour what makes you think he's going to settle with you before testing the waters around him.

Not to say that he will but not to beat around the bush as you have. Go to college be a teenager have fun, settling down should come later. Listen to your mom.

Hey, girl have you heard that TLC new CD. Well it goes something like this. "A scrub is brother that get's no love from me, hanging on the passenger side of his best friend's ride trying to holler at me." Well there are a lot of these over here. Hoodrats too, I meet guys all the time with no money, no goals, no hope, no sense, no talent, need I go on. They think life is a joke. That's why I want to date older men like 30 and up. By then, they know what they want most of the time. Young guys need to get on board to reality. If they want to stay young minded stay in HS. They are just so immature, they have a one track mind and a one-way pocket living to pay check to paycheck and some don't have kids but they have Fubu. Have they ever heard of saving for a rainy day, sending money home to their kids or a down payment on a house for when they do find Mrs. Right. Ok enough bashing I'm just fed up. Blue in the face

Wow, so they are all scrubs huh? Well I agree just a tad bit but not with the general population. Girl, you need to count to ten and take a deep breath. Sounds like someone has really ticked you off. Stay with the age group 30 and up. Most of them have been where the young guys are going. That's why a lot of them are ready to settle. But don't fool yourself some of them grew up to fast and now want to act like the young guys. So , this can be a no win situation. Watch yourself and don't sell yourself short. I mean really don't point fingers maybe you can start a seminar or open talk session with these scrubs I mean young guys and help school them. Some of them are so happy to be away from home and getting a paycheck they don't know how to act. So since they are young minded they act young. So just be patience, if it bothers you that much, breath. Next!
