Date Posted: 1999-03-20

Chairman of Yashima Gakuen, Chizuru Wada, and vice principal of the school, Kimito Wada, and others met with Okinawa Governor Keiichi Inamine Monday to seek prefectural support for the establishment of a school to be located in Motobu that plans to cater for high school drop-outs throughout the nation. Governor Inamine said the prefectural government would consider the plan and try to support them. The Mayor of Motobu Town, Seijyun Nakaema, and a Motobu Town delegation have already submitted plans for establishing the school. They expect that the school will have a positive affect on the local economy. The school is scheduled to open in April 2001.
