Coming Entertainment

Entertainment events scheduled for the coming week. Sauce live, Okinawa's famous spicy Barbecue Restaurant, located in Hamby Town, will entertain patrons with the sounds of live Gospel singers, Sunday. Listen to the rich sounds of Gospel music, while eating some of the tastiest food on the island. The event is scheduled from 4:00pm to 7:30pm. For more information contact Reggie Dumas at (098) 936-0204.

The best things in life don't always require money; sometimes they're free. Case in point, MCCS Entertainment, located on Camp Foster, will sponsor a free concert March 19 at Foster's Field House. The performers scheduled for the event are the popular Rock group Hootie & The Blowfish. The group has had major commercial success, with hit songs: "Hold My Hand", "Only Wanna Be With You", "Let Her Cry" and others, it promises to be a night of great music. The concert starts at 8:00pm. Don't miss it!

Club Chesty, also located on Camp Foster, will host a night of Old School R&B, sponsored by Masonic group Obelisk Temple #187. The group is celebrating their 25 anniversary on Okinawa and all are welcome. Games, surprises and hors d' oeuvres are planned for the evening, as well as music - provided by the one and only Sir Walt D. The casual dress event is scheduled for March 20 from 8:00pm to 1:00am. Donations are a low $5.00 each and ladies get in free before 8:30pm. This is one party you don't want to miss! For more information contact Greg Jamison at 090-3329-9377.

Last but not least this week's CD pick is Flip/Interscope Recording Artists Limp Bizkit. The Hard Rock group debut CD, "Three Dollar Bill Y'all", is filled with enough head banging guitar riffs to make fellow Rock group mentors Korn proud. Limp Bizkit's sound is best described as, Hip-Hop meets Rock music- on steroids. The CD's lead single, "Faith"; an amped-up rendition of George Michael's late 80's hit is nothing like the original -pure adrenaline. Also check out "Counterfeit", another sure winner. Suggestion, play this CD at a very high volume, preferably in a residential neighborhood.

That's everything on this week's menu. Feed the ear hole lightly until next week.
