The Navy/Marine Corps Relief Fund supports active duty and retired military members who have run into financial hardships that are not of their own making. Again this year, Navy/Marine Corps Relief Fund is requesting donations and 100% of the money received will be given to those in need.

Lt. Col. Michael Hogan who is charge of the fund raising event this year says, "The Navy/ Marine Corps Relief Fund offers a helping hand to those in financial distress through monetary donations, as well as classes teaching effective money management skills."

Volvo Military Sales donates a car, a brand new 1999 Volvo S/70 for the drawing on April 16th. Volvo has contributed one of their new cars three earlier occasions. James Brunt, General Manager of Okinawa Volvo Military Sales, said "We want to show our appreciation to our customers by giving something back to the community for this worthwhile cause."

For every $3 donated, your name will be put into a raffle for many other prizes from a variety of businesses including Phai's House of Jade, MOA International Gift Shop, Tommy China, AAFES and Okinawa Military Sales.

This drawing officially started Mar. 1 and will end Apr. 9. The raffle is open to any SOFA status person. You may make donations through military units or at the Foster PX on weekends. The grand prize Volvo is on display outside the Foster theater now.
