Flower "aquarium" open at Himeyuri Park

Himeyuri Park in Itoman City is having a special display called "Flower Aquarium" which will run through Mar. 28. The annual event is one of the island-wide Okinawa Flower Carnival events.

The display depicts ocean animals like whales, turtles and octopus, all made by using 275,000 flowers in vases. Over 10 different species of flowers were used in creating the displays including geranium, bougainvillea and salvia.

Himeyuri Park is also hosting Aloe Festival in at the same time.

The admission to the park is 850 for adults (older than Junior High Students), 430 for children (from 3-year-old to Junior High School Students). Children under three are free.
