Two drown in accidents

Two men were found drowned in separate incidents over the weekend. Police considers both deaths as accidents. A local fisherman discovered the body of Shoichi Shinsato, floating face down off Tsuya Fishing Port, Yomitan, on Sunday. A rescue team pulled Shinsato from the ocean but he was pronounced dead on the scene. Kadena Police investigators found Shinsato's hat, sandals and a bottle of awamori on the beach, and concluded that Shinsato had fallen into the sea by accident and drowned.

At tropical Beach in Ginowan City, a beach goer discovered a man under water near the beach, Sunday. The man was taken to a hospital, but he died shortly afterwards.

According to Ginowan Police, the man had been swimming in an off limits area. He was clad in a T-shirt and gray short pants, and wore goggles and a snorkel. The police estimate that the man was 40 to 50 years of age. The police is still trying to identify the victim.
