Man arrested for threatening riot police with knifeDate Posted: 2003-04-05 A spokesman for the Okinawa Prefectural Police says 20-year-old Kenta Nakazato was arrested on suspicion of interfering with police officers conducting their duty, and of violating the swords and firearms control law. According to police, Nakazato appeared to be drunk at the time of the incident, when he approached the policeman while he was standing on his post and asked "why don't Japanese police oppose the war in Iraq." He then allegedly pulled a kitchen knife and pointed it at the officer. The officer then told Nakazato to stop fooling around and told him to throw the knife away.
