A 39-year-old taxi driver reported to Okinawa City Police Sunday morning that four foreigners had robbed him in Uechi, Okinawa City. Police say four foreign males had hailed a taxi for a ride. After boarding the cab, one of them suddenly grabbed the driver by the neck while another punched the driver on the stomach. They then grabbed the cash from the driver's money box and fled the scene. The police say that the robbers netted about ¥10,000. Police are investigating the incident as a robbery. The driver describes the robbers as being slim men, all about six feet tall.
