On Monday evening in Haebaru Town, a hit-and-run accident along Route 8 caused a driver and her passenger to suffer from neck injuries and another man to suffer the wrath of his family. The driver, a 37-year-old woman, and her 22-year-old male passenger both suffered from severe neck sprains as they were hit from behind while stopped at a red light. The hit-and-run driver fled from the scene of the accident and felt remorseful as he arrived home. He told his family what happened and discussed his worries about the victims, telling them he was sorry he did not call an ambulance. When his family learned of his blunder, they demanded he go to the police station to confess to what he had done. They escorted him to the local authorities where he admitted being involved in the accident and was arrested. The reason for the accident is still under investigation.
