Passenger Dies After Car Crash, Driver Runs AwayDate Posted: 1998-02-28 The investigation showed that after the car crashed into the fence, another passing motorist stopped and asked the driver whether everything was all right. The driver assured the witness that everyone was just fine, and the motorist left the scene. The driver then left the scene himself leaving the passenger in the car. After the driver was apprehended by the police, he said that the brakes in his car were broken and that is the reason why he lost control of his car and crashed into the fence. After the crash he noticed that his passenger was injured, and considering that he had been the driver he got scared and ran away from the scene. He was arrested by the police on suspicion of negligence resulting in death. |
