Early Tuesday morning, a woman in Naha City was attacked by an American male while she was coming home from work. The woman had just left work and was walking up the stairs of her apartment building to her 3rd floor home. She was grabbed from behind, held tightly by her assailant and threatened. She turned and looked at the man, described in police reports as an African American male, approximately 25 years of age, 170 pounds and six feet tall. "Please don't kill me. I'll give you my money, take my purse with you," she pleaded. The man took her purse and ran away before the woman could call for help.
"Help, there was some guy, an American guy, trying to murder me," she reportedly told the police when she called them after the incident. Police arrived at the scene and conducted a search, but were unable to find the man. Anyone having any information about this robbery, is asked to contact your nearest police station.
