A broken relationship spelled out trouble for Nobuo Tamashiro, 45, of Ozato Village. According to the police, Tamashiro went to his girlfriend's house to salvage their relationship, on Jan. 29. He pleaded with her to stay with him, saying "Don't you know my mind at all even though we've been in this relationship for a long, long time? I love you. I don't want to separate with you." However, his girlfriend refused to stay with him, replying "I don't want you anymore. It's finished. We are broken."
Tamashiro then became angered, took out a knife and threatened her, telling her "I'm going to kill you." He held the knife to her throat, but she managed to get away and called the police, who came to the residence and arrested Tamashiro.
