Elderly couple found in bad shape at home

An elderly Japanese couple was found by authorities in their home, Friday, neglected, sick and dying. Authorities point out that this couple is one of many in this day and age who are childless and suffering from lack of attention from extended family and neighbors. This couple, both in their 80's had stopped visiting the health daycare center and visiting neighbors. Distant relatives came by to see the couple and found them dying and having been without care for several days.

The couple was taken to the hospital. Police are investigating now how and why this couple was allowed to get into this condition.
