Something for everybody at Kin Street Carnival 2001

The streets of Kin are certainly going to rock and roll on Sunday, Dec. 16, for one of the biggest musical events Okinawa has seen in a long time. The Kin Street Carnival is back, and the streets will be rockiní to the music of bands such as the Oja All Stars, Yoriko Ganeko with Kís Band, Zodiac, Latin sensation Kachimba 1551, 8 Ball, Kachan Band and the Jack Nastyís Band. During the evening, there will be street dance performances by Original Quest and XYLITOL, Ryukyu No Kaze Nano, Liberal Party, temporaly, Twirlve, Over Flap, Twity and others. There will also be street games, an open free market, wall arts and a band contest.

The Kin Street Carnival will have two music stages, with Stage 1 being open from 2:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Stage 2 operating from 10:00 p.m. to midnight. The Oja All Stars with guest musician Kachan will perform on Stage 1 as well as Yoriko Ganeko with Kís Band, Zodiac, Kachimba 1551 and 8 Ball. Kachan and Jack Nastyís Band will perform with 8 Ball, Zodiac and other bands on

Stage 2. At 6:00 p.m. the pride of the Marines, the Marine Corps Marching Band, will demonstrate their skill. The wall arts display will be open from 2:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m.

The Kin Street Carnival 2001 will be held right outside of Camp Hansenís Gate 1 at the Kin Town Shinkaichi on Highway 329. There is no charge to attend, and it will surely be a time of great music and good vibes for all, with something for everybody to enjoy.
