Police fires at fleeing drug user suspect

Three policemen from Urasoe City Police fired their guns ten times on Sunday past midnight in Kakazu, Ginowan City, aiming at tires of a car that ran through a police check point in Urasoe City. The car kept on going for four hundred meters before it stopped. A 25-year-old man driving the car was arrested on the spot on charges of interfering with a public servant in the execution of his duties.

The suspect tested positive to stimulants, which he admitted taking on Saturday. However he denied the charges of interfering claiming he did not remember. No one was hurt in the incident.
