Ladies’ Lock Up is for the ladies

In Okinawa’s music scene, where many of the events are more male oriented with party treats such as wet t-shirt contests, bikini contests, and the like, it is indeed rare to see an event made specially for the ladies. However, Pulse Night Club, Brown Pride Entertainment, and Whut Entertainment are working together on a very unique event. “With the situation as is, a lot of stress is being put on women with their husbands’ jobs in the military,” says organizer DJ Hi-5ive. “Women need to get out and have a good time amongst themselves. They need an escape.” As a solution, Pulse Night Club is throwing a Ladies’ Lock Up, the third such event on Okinawa. The first two were very successful, and the club is preparing for a full house. “A lot of ladies approached me about doing another lockup,” says Hi-5ive. “We needed to do something special for the ladies so this will be a chance for them to get dressed up, come out with friends, and enjoy themselves.”

This month’s Ladies Lock Up will be held on Friday, Nov. 16 and will feature a men’s revue from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and an after party from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. The men’s revue will include a strip show especially for the ladies, and men will not be permitted into the club until the after party. During the show, ladies will enjoy free champagne and drinks, giveaways, and red roses will be given away to the first 50 women admitted. Also, from 12 a.m. to 1 a.m., a happy hour will go into effect with half-priced drinks. Admission to the male revue show is $15 in advance or $20 or at the door for ladies, and during the after party, men’s admission is $10 but ladies get in free! During the male revue and after party, music will be provided by Hi-5ive and DJ Lazy.

Ladies Lock Up organizers are very optimistic about this party, and if this one goes well they would like to throw one every three or four months. Only 150 tickets are being sold and buying in advance is the best bet. Pulse Night Club is located at the end of Gate 2 Street near the route 330 intersection.
