Gaia Symphony No. 4

Movie “Gaia Symphony” is a documentary movie shot in an omnibus style that shows very thought provoking messages about the future of earth and its habitant, the human being. It shows various ways of life through interviews and pictures.

Since Gaia Symphony No. 1 was released in 1992, many spontaneous people who have been attracted to the movie, and are eager to share this great movie with as many people as possible have been supporting the series. As of August 2001, after the third movie in the series was completed, the movie has been played at more than 3,900 locations, attracting 1.6 million viewers around the nation mainly depending on voluntarily screening. It not only pledges everyone the importance of the earth’s environment, but also refers to the infinite possibilities of each person.

Main acts in the No. 4 are bio-physicist James Lovelock, chimpanzee scholar Jane Goodall, legendary surfer Gerry Lopez, and a sculpture artist and poet from Okinawa, Bokunen Naka. Director, Jin Tatsumura says that kind spirituality will be necessary in this century, and the spirituality means the actual feeling that our life is only a part of the massive life of “Gaia,” the earth that just allows us to live on it.
