Police nabs professional thief in Urasoe City

Urasoe Police re-arrested a 45-year-old man on charges of theft on Friday. The man is accused of stealing about 10 million from a house in Kitanakagusuku Village. According to the police, the suspect admitted that he had stolen money and property in over eight hundred occasions since 1989. The police suspect that the man has committed even more crimes and estimate that total amount of money he stole to be about 80 million.

The suspect is also said to have bought an apartment using the money he had stolen while lying to his family that he was getting income by playing pachinko, a Japanese pin ball game. He was reportedly giving between 100,000 and 1 million per month to his family for their living expenses.
