Man sentenced to life for murder, attempted rape

Yuji Nakata, who is charged with murder and attempted rape, was sentenced to life in prison, Tuesday, at Naha District Court.

According to the court ruling, the defendant strangled a 26-year-old woman last October in Hateruma Island. The chief judge, Soichi Hayashida stated that his crime was cruel and inhuman criminal action and that he showed no consideration towards precious human life and obviously had no esteem for human life.
