White powder inside magazine causes scareDate Posted: 2001-10-25 A 27-year-old female worker reportedly found some white powder attached to the first page as she opened the cover page. Urasoe Police arrived and evacuated workers and students from the library, then riot policemen dressed in protective clothes collected the magazine, and took it for examination at the Prefectural Institute of Sanitary and Environment. The library would be closed until Friday when the test result is supposed to come out. According to the police, the powder was fine flour-like substance, and it had no smell. The worker took a shower following the government manual and she is reportedly healthy. |
