First group tour from Hong Kong arrivesDate Posted: 2001-10-13 A sanshin performance and Miss Okinawa welcomed the tour at the airport. The group is scheduled to stay in Okinawa for three days and two nights visiting Shuri Castle Park and local beach resorts. The chief of the Okinawa Prefectural Representative Office in Hong Kong, Yoichi Kinjo told that people in Hong Kong look at Okinawa as a part of Japan, and do not pay much attention to the existence of the American bases. “We should utilize this situation as a big chance for expansion in Asian market as more people consider visiting Japan instead of the U.S. after the Sep. 11 terror attack.” He stated. |
