Elderly to pay more for care from AprilDate Posted: 2001-10-08 The prefecture paid about a total of ¥3 billion more in benefits than originally estimated. To cover the deficit, the prefecture had top use national funds earmarked for caring services. However, it is likely that the premiums will rise sharply next year for those older than 65 when the law is revised next April. Presently the premiums in Okinawa are already at the highest in the nation. |
