Pollo Rico

Date Posted: 2001-09-07

This family-run restaurant is a good introduction to Peruvian cuisine. Run by Fernando de las Casas Kohatsu, Pollo Rico has a cozy setting with tapestries of rural scenes on the walls depicting Indian natives of Peru. This restaurant also sells crafts made in South America.

The menu boasts many selections, but like Salsatina, the items are listed in their native language and might be a little tricky to understand without some help. They sell some of the same cuisine as Salsatina and other Salsa establishments on island, but the difference is that Pollo Rico serves as a restaurant where others seem to fill the combination of club, cafe, and bar. Pollo Rico is a friendly restaurant offering South American food at reasonable prices the whole family can enjoy. To drive to Pollo Rico, drive towards Naha on route 58. Turn left at Pizza House and take Route 38. Pass the route 330 and 241 intersections and pass Tsutaya and Lawson on your left. Pollo Rico will be on your right.
