If You Need Anything I Would Love To Help

Date Posted: 2000-12-08

I used to be stationed in Okinawa,89-94 and I remember what it was like being so far from home during the holidays. Although at the time I complained all the time about the island, I realized after I left, it was the one place that I truly loved. With the holidays coming up, I started to think of how difficult it was years ago and I wanted to say thanks to those that are there. Thanks for spending the time away from your families and working so hard for all of us here at home. If there is anything that I needed more when I was there, was a connection to the US, someone that I could call and ask for something particular from home.

I had a friend that I could call anytime and ask for something from Texas and within two weeks it would be there. That probably made life easier than anything else I could have had. So...with that I would like to offer the same. If there are service members out there that have children (or not) and are needing to find something particular for your children / loved ones for Christmas, I would love to help. Just drop me a line and I will try to help all I can. I know it sounds goofy to be sending this out, but I remember what it was like and I would love to be the same type of person she was.

Happy Holiday's to you all.
